April 26. Paul and Kristin Thompson, who bought and redeveloped Broad Street Place in downtown Mooresville in 2019, have transformed the 21,000 square-foot building into a mixed-use community anchor with retail spaces and apartments while retaining the beloved Mooresville Ice Cream corner shop.

The North Carolina Main Street Program named the Thompsons Main Street Champions for keeping the historic character of the building while adding modern amenities,

Paul Thompson, a retired COO of Barings, is a member of the Mooresville Downtown Commission board, while Kristin is an agent with eXp Realty.
