Charlotte SCORE mentors helped 300 new businesses get started in the Charlotte Region in 2017.

According to the SCORE Foundation more than 80 SCORE mentors conducted 3,292 client engagements in 2017, an increase of 5 percent compared to 2016.

SCORE says 344 non-owner jobs were created in 2017 with the help of Charlotte SCORE mentors who are active, retired or semi-retired business people.

Certified Score mentors provide free confidential face-to-face, telephone and Skype or video counseling to small businesses and start-ups.
