I find it interesting that Novant is rated as the best place to work. While the employees may be happy, I know several people who have had horrible experiences due to ineptitude, laziness, inattention to detail, lack of empathy, and mistakes that could cost lives.
Someone needs to look into this.
This has to be written by Novant. There is a reason so many of us have reduced our hours to either part time, prn, or just moved on to a new company. Vacation is no longer guaranteed, taking mental health days is a no longer a thing, and the shifts you do work are short staffed. My department is at 75% vacancy, which means only 25% of the staffing positions are filled. So for 12-24 hours you can expect not a single break. The company puts you in a predicament where you have to choose which patients you will see for the day, because it is impossible to see all the patients they expect you to. This article is a joke, Forbes is a joke. It’s just giant companies writing about their CEO friends at other giant companies.
