C. Hunter Westbrook is the new president and CEO of HomeTrust Bancshares, the holding company of HomeTrust Bank. Westbrook joined Asheville-based HTB in 2012 as executive vice president. In 2018 he was promoted to senior executive vice president and chief operating officer. Dana L. Stonestreet will continue to serve as chairman and CEO of the bank.

HomeTrust is transitioning from a rural thrift to a full-service regional commercial bank, with a footprint than now includes Charlotte and Raleigh. When Westbrook joined the bank in 2012, HomeTrust had only three lines of business and its market area was confined to western North Carolina.

“We now have 10 lines of business, which has greatly improved our offerings and capabilities, and our market footprint has since expanded to three more states—Virginia, Tennessee and South Carolina,” Stonestreet said.
