Diane M. Young, executive director of Concord Downtown Development Corp., is the new president of the North Carolina Downtown Association, which works at “the creative intersection of the public and private sectors to enhance downtowns as cultural and economic centers throughout the state.” There are also eight new board members who will serve a two-year term beginning this month:
- President-Elect – Julie Metz, Goldsboro
- Treasurer – Connie Kincaid, Hickory
- Technical Assistance VP – Brian Borne, Monroe
- Government Affairs VP – Sarah Edwards, Smithfield
- Membership VP – Bianca Shoneman, Greenville
- Region 2 Director – Vicki Davis, Lincolnton
- Region 3 Director – Tom Stanley, Whiteville
- Region 4 Director – John Jesso, Rocky Mount
