Sept. 9. The Town of Davidson has approved $15,000 for Main Street Business grants for FY-2025. Last year’s recipients were Knotty & Board, Sully’s Steamers, The Cabin, The Bungalow Market and The Davidson Village Inn.
The matching grant program is used for exterior or interior improvements that are permanent. For example, funds may be used for windows, floors, etc., but not for tables and chairs. The minimum grant that may be requested is $1,000 while the maximum is $10,000. Private funds must be committed on a 2:1 basis.
The first application period will run beginning Sept. 9 through Oct. 31. Additional application periods will be on a 90-day rolling basis until all funds are allocated. Members of the Town’s Historic Preservation Commission and Planning Board will review all grant applications and select projects to be funded.
All applicants must review the Davidson Main Street Business Grant Operating Guidelines and submit an application. Both documents can be found on the town’s website at http://www.townofdavidson.org/MainStreetGrant.
