July 20. The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce recognized Charles Knox Jr., founder of The Knox Group as the business person of the year and NC Rep. John Bradford as the entrepreneur of the year. Bradford is
president and CEO of both Park Avenue Properties and the founder of PetScreening.com based in Mooresville.
The chamber held its annual celebratory meeting at a luncheon last week at NorthStone Country Club, with more than 200 people in attendance.
Emceeing the event and providing remarks was 2020 outgoing Board Chair Richard Pappas as well as current Chair Erika Erlenbach.
The event included comments from Chris Bowe, president of Atrium’s North Market. Bowe discussed the new, 30-bed hospital which will be built on the old Augustalee property at
the southwest corner of Westmoreland Road and Hwy. 21 in Cornelius.
