July 18. A house at 20927 Bethelwood Lane in Cornelius has sold for $6.8 million, one of the most expensive home sales ever recorded in Cornelius.

The 5,781 square foot lakefront home transacted at $1,176 per square foot, making it the most expensive home ever on a price per square foot basis, according to listing agent Ben Bowen with Premier Sotheby’s International in Cornelius.

The house, built in 2015, has five bedrooms and five baths.
There is an outdoor cabana with a kitchen and bathroom. There is also a hot tub, outdoor bar, fire pit and pier.

The houses, assessed at $4.6 million, was previously used as a summer home, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Bowen said the house went under contract in 35 days.
