Diversity recognized at LKN Chamber event

Oct. 2. The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce recognized “Champions of Diversity” at a luncheon held at Northstone Country Club last week.

Selected as the Individual Diversity Champion was Cornelius resident Michael D. Connor, a retired professor of theater arts and actor. Also receiving awards were Cook Community Clinic in Huntersville; Cherese Spand, a financial planner; and Reynolds Consumer products.

Joni Davis, who served as chief diversity and inclusion officer at Duke Energy prior to retiring in June of 2022, was the keynote speaker.
