Aug. 23. A bespoke lakefront mansion in The Peninsula has sold for $3,888,500 after being listed at $4.5 million. The house, at 18300 Mainsail Pointe Drive, has six bedrooms and seven baths in 7,384 square feet.

The price works out to more than $500 a square foot.

Completed in 2019, the house was built by Patrick Joseph Distinctive Homes and designed by Elite Design Group. Mecklenburg County tax records show the house and land are assessed at $2.3 million.

The house, which has an open floorplan and is wired for data, has a three-car garage.
