Nov. 18. Charlie Curtis has been named Lake Norman president for United Community Bank. Curtis, who was a senior vice president at Aquesta before joining UCB last year, has more than 25 years of experience in the NC banking industry. “The initial business development efforts have been so positive, that this market is seen as worthy of its own dedicated office,” UCB officials said in a press release.
The $17.2 billion (assets) bank has 163 offices in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
It has expanded its presence in Charlotte with the recent addition of Market President Doug Bowman, a 15-year veteran of the Charlotte banking community. He was a senior vice president with First National Bank.
