Jobless rates increased in 85 NC counties in November

Jan. 7. Unemployment rates (not seasonally adjusted) increased in 85 of North Carolina’s 100 counties in November 2024, decreased in 12, and remained unchanged in three. LKN Chamber Foundation fundraiser benefits 2 non-profit pre-schools

Jan. 2. The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Chamber of Commerce, contributed $31,072.64 to two local Lake Norman non-profit organizations providing pre- and after-school programming: Cornelius Early Scholars and the Lake Norman YMCA. The funds were raised through the foundation’s Thanksgiving breakfast. Each organization received $15,536.32.
