Jon McConnell is the new Charlotte City Executive for Aquesta Bank.

April 23. Jon McConnell has joined Aquesta Bank as the new city executive and will help develop and grow the bank’s commercial relationships in the Charlotte area.

McConnell will be responsible for aggressively marketing and promoting Aquesta in the Charlotte market to help foster significant loan and deposit growth. He will be originating commercial loans as well as working with a team of experienced lenders to achieve this end.

McConnell has been in banking for more 17 years, most recently at BB&T, where he was a commercial real estate relationship manager. He also had stops at Capmark Securities, Forest City Enterprises and the FDIC. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute.

McConnell lives in Cornelius with his wife, Tara, and two sons. Prior to recent knee surgery, he was an active triathlete.

Aquesta Bank is a locally-owned community bank providing full-service banking with a focus on small- to medium-sized businesses and professionals. Aquesta has seven branches, with locations in Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, Huntersville and SouthPark, and a branch scheduled to open in Wilmington in June.
