April 23. Allen Tate Cos., one of the major forces in residential real estate in Lake Norman and Cabarrus, is also one of the largest real estate companies in the nation. It is No. 8 in the U.S. among independent real estate firms, and No. 14 among all firms including franchise operations.

The news was published in REAL Trends 500, an independently verified compilation of the nation’s leading residential real estate companies. The rankings are based on closed transaction sides and sales volume for the previous year.

Allen Tate Companies closed 21,190 transaction sides in 2018.

“Despite an ever-changing real estate landscape, Allen Tate continues to lead the Carolinas and ranks highly among real estate companies nationally,” said Pat Riley, president and CEO of Allen Tate.

Allen Tate Companies is also the Carolinas’ No. 1 real estate company, based on closed transaction sides, with offices in the Charlotte, Triad, Triangle and Upstate South Carolina regions.

In early 2019, Allen Tate partnered with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, the 3rd largest real estate company in the United States and the largest privately owned broker in the nation.

The combined company has 312 offices across nine states, with more than 11,000 sales associates and staff.
