Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, which has become a major player in the Lake Norman luxury market since opening in Cornelius four years ago, has a new managing broker. Karen Krotki will take over from Jason Gentry who is returning to the Charlotte office. Notably, Gentry was the president of the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association last year.

Krotki was the managing broker at a Coldwell Banker office in Tampa, Fla., where she had a reputation for training and mentoring. “The Charlotte area is among the most dynamic markets in the country for growth in the future, and I’m incredibly excited about leading this elite group under the Sotheby’s International Realty brand,” she said

The Cornelius office has produced major sales.

A ​12,000 square foot ​lakefront estate in ​The Point in ​Mooresville sold for $4.78 million in April after being listed​ at $5.9 million with Victor and Amy Petrenko of Premier Sotheby’s  in Cornelius.​ The house, at 127 Thurstons Way, ​had been on and off the market with other firms for a number of years previously. The sale price last month was one of the highest in the Charlotte market so far this year.

Last year Premier Sotheby’s listed and sold a lakefront property on Lola Circle in Cornelius for $1.85 million. It is expected to be a tear-down, suggesting a powerful pricetag for the 1.25-acre property with 400+ feet of shoreline.

GENTRY

Krotki has a masters in financial management from Fairfield University.

Budge Huskey, president of Premier Sotheby’s, said Gentry will continue to “represent the company again as one of our top associates” in Charlotte.
