Sept. 11. Fortius Capital Partners has announced plans to build Meadows Corporate Park, a multi-tenant industrial development with 192,000 square feet of space in two buildings. The project, on I-85 near Poplar Tent Road, represents a $9.9 million investment.
J. Harris Morrison III of Fortius Capital Partners says the 21.5-acre site targets industrial users requiring 16,000 square feet or more of space.
The project features buildings of 112,000 square feet and 80,000 square feet with a shared truck court.
Both the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners and Concord City Council approved a three-year, performance-based tax incentives totaling $181,764 from Cabarrus County and $121,176 from the City of Concord.
“Fortius’ vision will help frame the real estate landscape in an area that has great economic potential,” said Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners Chair Steve Morris.
Meadows Corporate Park, Concord Fortius – Richardson LLC is a partnership between Fortius Capital Partners, Richardson Properties, and Windsor Commercial. Fortius Capital Partners is a Concord-based, investment and development company led by Harris Morrison.
Richardson Properties is a private real estate company that seeks to create wealth for its shareholders and investors through the development or acquisition of high quality assets in strategic locations. Windsor Commercial is a real estate development and construction firm based in the Piedmont Triad
“This speculative development partnership with Fortius serves an identified gap in our industrial marketplace,” said Cabarrus Economic Development Executive Director Robert Carney. CBRE Charlotte will handle leasing for the project.
