Millennials can mix bourbon and photography at Art on Tap Friday evening. The Cabarrus Arts Council’s membership group for young professionals presents Lights & Libations from 7-10 p.m. in The Galleries, 65 Union Street South in Concord. The event will feature two photography activities led by professional photographers Mary Beth Taylor and Garrett Price. Mary Beth will show people how to use their cameras to paint with light. Garrett will offer tips and tricks to iPhoneography.
During the activities mixologist Spencer Kilgore www.youtube.com/watch?v=084cw8CV-qw&t=5s will serve three variants of the Old-Fashioned: the Vanilla Old Fashioned, the New Fashioned and the Szechuan Pepper Old Fashioned.
Art on Tap was launched to give twenty- and thirty-somethings who share an interest in the arts a place to mingle and learn more through Cabarrus Arts Council events. Art on Tap’s main focus is to develop arts leaders and awareness of Cabarrus Arts Council programs. The Cabarrus Arts Council reaches over 300,000 each year through school programs, gallery exhibitions, grants and Davis Theatre events.
All events are open to anyone 21 or older. IDs are required. Most events are free for members and $20 for non-members. Members will receive special recognition and two free drink tickets at the cash bar. Good eats will be available for purchase through Two Gals Kitchen.
