The Democrats of North Mecklenburg and the Mecklenburg County Democratic Party will host a forum with 12th Congressional District Democratic candidates 7-8:30 p.m. May 6 at Cornelius Town Hall.

This is an opportunity to meet and ask questions of the candidates who seek to represent North Mecklenburg County in the newly-drawn 12th Congressional District prior to the June 7 primary.

The candidates are Congresswoman Alma Adams, Rep. Tricia Cotham, Rep. Carla Cunningham, former Sen. Malcolm Graham, Rep. Rodney Moore and Gardenia Henley. Cunningham may appear via surrogate due to a scheduling conflict.

Panelists are Andrés Ramos, president of Davidson College Democrats, and Dr. Susan Roberts, professor of political science at Davidson College. An additional panelist will be announced.

Attendees will have an opportunity to talk informally after the forum with candidates and panelists.
