April 19. The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce will host a small businesses luncheon at The Peninsula Club during Small Business Week. The “Lunch and Launch” will feature keynote speaker Greg Wessling, retired senior vice president of store operations for Lowe’s Companies, Inc.

In his presentation, “From Lumber Yard to National Powerhouse: Lowe’s Secrets to Success,” Wessling will share best lessons and insights that everyone can put into practice in their business.

Other featured presenters are Fabi Preslar, president of SPARK Publications, and John Bradford, CEO of Park Avenue Properties.

An expert panel will discuss “Travel and Tourism on Lake Norman: How Businesses Can Leverage Fun!” Panelists include Sally Ashworth, executive director of Visit Lake Norman, Joe Kindred, owner of Kindred Restaurant, and Thomas Finlay of Carolina Rapids Soccer.

The event is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. May 3. Tickets are $25 each. Register by May 1.
