Some of the costliest homes in the Golden Crescent are either on the market, or have recently sold.

Trump Realty has the highest price listing, an 11,574 square foot lakefront house on Thurstons Way in The Point in Mooresville. Asking price: $7.95 million. In Mount Pleasant, a stately 10,965 square foot house is on the market at $4.5 million. The house, on Mount Olive Road, comes with 94 acres of land.

All the pricey homes in the Top 12 list in Lake Norman are waterfront, according to Abigail Jennings, president of Lake Norman Realty. Styles range from European-inspired elegance to streamlined contemporary modern.

Cornelius is home to seven of the pricey abodes, with four in The Peninsula. Three are in Mooresville with two in The Point. Troutman and Denver are represented as well.

Days on market range from less than two weeks for a brand-new listing on Governor’s Island in Denver to more than two years for a $5.4 million house on Yeoman Road in Mooresville.

The house on Mount Olive Road has been on the market almost two years.

Among high-price houses that have recently sold, days on market runs the gamut from just listed to a year and and even more.

A Mediterranean house on a point lot at 18010 Harbor Light Blvd. just closed after 350 days on the market. The 5,510 square foot house was listed at $2.35 million by Lori Jackson of Ivestor Jackson Distinctive Properties. Stephanie Landman of Keller Williams Lake Norman represented the buyers. They paid $2.045 million for the house which has a pool and spa, custom cabinets and tile, Brazilian cherry hardwoods and a pier with a boat lift. The tax value is $1.48 million.

On the other hand, a house at 17209 Green Dolphin in The Peninsula was on the market a grand total of 17 days. It was priced at $849,900 and sold for $846,000. Shelley Johnson of Keller Williams Lake Norman had the listing.

A lot for a lot

A lake front lot at 21213 Island Forest Drive, has sold for $1.237 million after being listed for $1.324 million by the father-son team of Jim Carlyle and Lance Carlyle at Carlyle Properties in Cornelius. The one-acre lot has first-class views. The price tag amounts to the highest price for a lot in Cornelius since 2011, according to the MLS.

A house at 18704 John Connor Road in The Peninsula has sold for $979,000 after being listed by Dixie Dean for $1 million. The five bedroom, 6.5 bath house has a five car garage. It sits on The Peninsula Club golf course, but it has water views. It was on the market less than three months. Lori Jackson represented the buyers.

A lakefront house at 20204 Lola Circle has sold for $3.35 million after being listed at $3.65 million by Lori Jackson. The house has an unusual amount of lakefront: More than 430 feet of shoreline. It has custom marble and stone details inside as well as a resort-style pool and a four-car garage. The selling agent was isabel Gonzalez of Century 21 Providence. The property went under contract in less than a month.

A house at 17601 Westward Reach Road in The Peninsula has sold for the listing price, $1.75 million after what looks like a day on the market. Debbie Monroe of Lake Norman Realty listed the lakefront ranch-style property with a full walk-out lower level. The 6,300 square foot home includes an exercise room, sauna, two stone fireplaces and three HVAC systems. Kris Morton of Keller Williams Lake Norman represented the buyers.

An 8,533 square foot house at 18301 Mainsail Pointe Drive has sold for $2.3 million after being listed at $2.4 million by Jim Carlyle and Lance Carlyle. The seven bedroom house has a pool and spa as well as a private dock on Lake Norman. Phil Puma of Puma & Associates represented the buyers.
