Jan. 10. NC Sen. Vickie Sawyer and NC Rep. John Bradford will present a legislative briefing at the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce on Friday, Jan. 19.
The Focus Friday event will be both in-person and virtual from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. Chamber officials said NC Rep. Natasha Marcus, who also represents part of Cornelius, could not attend.
Sawyer is Chair of the Senate Appropriations on Department of Transportation as well as Chair of Transportation. She also sits on the Senate Appropriations, Commerce and Insurance, Finance, and Rules Committees. Bradford is the Senior Chair of Finance, Chair of Alcoholic Beverage Control, and sits on Commerce, Education, Finance, Insurance, Judiciary 1, and Regulatory Reform Committees.
Sawyer will be attending in-person and Bradford will be virtual. Bradford has announced he will run for the 8th Congressional District Seat currently held by U.S. Rep Dan Bishop.
Marcus has announced her intention to run for N.C. Insurance Commissioner.
