Sept. 19. Chick-fil-A Supply, the distribution service provider for Chick-fil-A restaurants, will establish distribution center in the Lakeshore Corporate Park in the Rowan County portion of Kannapolis.
The $58.3 million plant will generate 112 new jobs over the next five years with 85 of those jobs occurring in the first two years.
Lakeshore Corporate Park, developed by Fortius Capital Partners, is on the site of the old Kannapolis Intimidators baseball team. The new Chick-fil-A Supply distribution center will occupy a 126,000-square-foot building, one of three spec buildings that Fortius has built on the site.
“The City of Kannapolis is excited to welcome Chick-fil-A Supply and their staff. With over 100 jobs, salaries above the county average and their substantial investment the company will be a significant employer in our City and Rowan County. They have selected a beautiful premier location, overlooking I-85 and Lake Fisher. It reflects the strong corporate presence for which they are known and is expected to make an immediate positive impact in our City,” said Kannapolis Mayor Darrell Hinnant.
The company is expected to open the new facility in the third quarter of 2024. It will handle key operations, from warehousing critical restaurant supplies to ensuring timely deliveries and providing operational support.
