Dec. 22. The Davidson Board of Commissioners awarded $15,500 in Davidson Main Street business grant to six establishments.

The grants for 2022 are to further their strategic goals of historic preservation and economic development.

The goals of the program are to provide direct financial benefit to small businesses; retain and create jobs in association with small businesses; and spur private investment in association with small businesses located in our local historic district.

Economic Development Director Kim Fleming presented the 2022 Davidson Main Street Grants to:

—Table & Board $2,500

—The Village Store $1,000

—The Rumor Mill $1,000

—The Jewel Box $1,000
