Oct. 8. Gov. Cooper has appointed Davidson Town Commissioner Jane E. Campbell as the chair to the state the Veterans Affairs Commission. Campbell, who is mayor pro tem, serves on the commission as the representative of the 12th Congressional District. Campbell, who served over 25 years in the Navy as a public affairs officer, continues to serve as chair, a position she was appointed to in 2019.
