April 27. Rodrigo Carreon, who started his career in the tourism industry three years ago as a marketing intern at Visit Lake Norman, has been named one of Destinations International’s “30 Under 30” award winners.

Even before graduating from UNC-Charlotte, he accepted a full-time visitor services and marketing coordinator position during his sophomore year. He oversees all visitor center operations, curates the website and manages social media.

Destinations International looks for future industry leaders with a diverse set of backgrounds and perspectives.

Each year, 30 individuals under the age of 30, are selected to gain valuable industry networking opportunities and increased thought leadership throughout the year.
