July 27. Red Ventures, one of the largest employers in the Charlotte region, has told employees they are not expected back in the office until at Least early next year.
The technology/marketing company, which has a large campus in Indian Land, has 2,000 local employees. The Indian Land offices, complete with a bowling alley and casual, collaborative workspaces, will be virtually idle except for certain pre-approved employees.
The Charlotte campus — where more than half of the company’s nearly 3,000 employees are based — will only be accessible to a handful of pre-approved employees through the end of 2020.
This comes as Charlotte Mecklenburg gets ready to open with two weeks of rotating virtual classes followed by full remote learning for an indefinite period of time.
“Supporting our employees by giving them certainty right now is the best thing we can do,” Red Ventures CEO Ric Elias said on Twitter.
