Downtown Mooresville lands national accreditation third year in a row

June 13. The Mooresville Downtown Commission (MDC) has been designated as a Nationally Accredited Main Street America program for the third year in a row.

MDC Executive Director Kim Atkins said more than $58 million has been invested in the Downtown Mooresville Municipal Service District in the last decade, consisting of more than $42 million in private investments and almost $16 million in public investments. The last fiscal year saw $18.5 million in investment, a record.
